Warren trained and qualified as a corporate finance and commercial lawyer at Slaughter & May. He left in 1993 to create the first focussed, sports law practice  in the heart of the City of London and grew it from scratch into a multi-million pound market leading legal business.

For 16 years he led global law firm, K&L Gates’  Global Sports, Media and Entertainment Group. Under his watch the practice received a number of prestigious sports industry awards.

Warren has advised some of the biggest names in the sports, media (broadcasters, digital and data), brands, gambling and commercial rights sectors across the world, involving marquee global, regional and domestic events and leagues.

His experience covers most sports, all sectors, types of projects and deals and is very much global, with a particular focus in the US, Europe, Middle East and India.

Richard has over 30 years operational experience, working with businesses who use and exploit consumer data and insight and on behalf of  financial institutions and investors.

Richard was Chief Executive of FTSE 250 Ladbrokes PLC, having previously been Chairman and CEO of Sporting Index, and prior to that holding similar positions in other listed and private companies..

Richard, as founder of Alinsky Partners, advises equity funds and shareholders and acts in an operational capacity on their behalf to support re-structuring, transformation and growth .

He currently advises funds and sports on rights exploitation and is an executive coach and counsel to “C “ suite individuals and teams.

Richard graduated from Oxford University in 1986, qualified as a solicitor in 1989 and gained an MBA from The London Business School (LBS) in 1991. He was awarded the LBS Alumni Entrepreneurship Award in June 2006.

Richard will support WLPsports, through the Alinsky Partners network, with operational management and oversight.
